Our Vision + Mission

At The NEW School, we believe that an education should encapsulate all areas of a child’s development: social, academic, emotional, physical & spiritual. We believe that balance is key to success and so at The NEW School we spend a balanced ratio of time learning, playing, exploring, and exercising the imagination. Our school pedagogy is a Christ-centered education, which goes beyond academics; at its core it should inspire within a young person a love for truth, because the pursuit of truth ultimately leads one to God and his purpose in our lives.

We strive to create a continuum between home and school in such a child’s reward from “schooling” is the learning itself. The lines between home life and school are blurred and so there is never a beginning or end to learning, rather there is always an opportunity to learn. Our family community plays an integral role in creating this continuum between home and school life; our families are like-minded and share similar values.

Situated on the lush green Humber River with direct access to forest, trails and wildlife, The New School aims to be free of environmental pollution as much as possible; we emphasize organic, natural & unprocessed food, low radiation (as much as possible) and we are largely free of exposure to chemicals. We believe children should learn in beautiful toxic-free spaces and the classroom, the environment and peers are a critical component to raising healthy, happy and successful children.

Our mission is to help build a strong generation of youth who will become self-starting leaders that understand their divine purpose, and who are champions of absolute FREEDOM.

Meet our Founder & Visionary

Angela Anna Maria Sena is a revolutionary force in modern education. As the founder and driving heart behind The NEW School, she is re-imagining what it means to learn, lead, and live freely. Her mission is clear and urgent: to transform the educational landscape into one where children don’t just survive—they thrive. She’s building a system where learning is deeply relevant, joyfully meaningful, and intentionally rooted in each child's God-given potential.

A devoted mother of two and a passionate educator, Angela spent 15 years teaching Secondary French Immersion within the public system. But it was during the global upheaval of the pandemic that she saw clearly what so many families were yearning for: education without compromise. She spent that year building bridges between families and mandate-free learning opportunities—laying the foundation for a bold new future.

In the fall of 2021, she stepped into that future and opened The NEW School, one of Ontario’s leading Freedom Schools. Today, her work is more than a school—it’s a movement. A call to awaken. A living invitation for parents to reclaim their rightful role in their children’s education. Angela is igniting a generation of truth-seekers, critical thinkers, and courageous creators.

Her energy is raw, honest, and fiercely alive. Her vision is magnetic. And her commitment is unwavering: to guide families into an extraordinary learning experience—where faith meets freedom, and curiosity fuels everything.

The NEW School isn’t just paving a path for the future—it’s blazing a trail for the next generation of wise, resilient, and purpose-driven leaders.

Meet our Development & Communications Director

Allison Ide exudes a sense of divine guidance in her journey as she explores the mission and vision of the school.

Allison, a mother of two with 15 years of teaching experience, took a bold step during the pandemic, resigning from the board to open a private school focused on academic, athletic, and personal growth. As the school year concluded, a new calling emerged—a high-service role as a Soul Coach.

Allison's vision is to contribute to a world united by love, authenticity, and freedom. Alongside The New Earth Wonder School Team , families, and the community, she feels a strong sense of purpose. Inspired by Whitney's words, she believes in teaching children well to lead the way for future generations.

With a heart devoted to realizing her vision, Allison is ready to co-create and manifest the best experience for students and families at The NEW School. The journey continues, and miracles are in the air!

Our Policies

We Do Not Support Critical Race Theory OR Gender Fluidity.

Instead of teaching students what to think, we teach them how to think.

As our world continues to shift rapidly, we have now found ourselves in a time of more controlled messaging from the media and unprecedented censorship in Canada. The repeated messaging from the media shapes cultural norms and the way we view social and cultural issues. Rather than jump on board with the mass media’s storyline, we challenge our students to question, research, analyze and consider issues from multiple perspectives before coming to their own conclusions.

For this reason, as a school, we do not promote or teach Critical Race Theory, Gender Fluidity, or the mainstream narrative surrounding Covid, all hot topics that many schools are now choosing to teach as factual rather than as the theories they are.
